Our primary purpose is to stay silent and help other compulsive talkers to achieve brevity.

The 12 Seconds

We admitted we were powerless over our own voices—that our shares had become unmanageable.

  • We came to believe that a Timer greater than ourselves could restore us to brevity.
  • Made a decision to turn our monologue over to the care of the Group Conscience.
  • Made a searching and fearless inventory of our "Let me pivot to another topic" phrases.
  • Admitted to God, ourselves, and another human being the exact length of our qualification.
  • Were entirely ready to have the Chairperson remove these defects of volume.
